Networking industry's premiere testing organization offers free Webcast that examines corporate plans to deploy VoIP
MANASQUAN, N.J., 8 March 2002 – The Tolly Group this week announced plans for a free Webcast next month that will reveal corporate attitudes toward voice over IP and provide insight into user deployment plans.
The Webcast is the first in an ongoing series that probes the attitudes of enterprise network architects toward emerging technologies and the technology requirements that drive adoption.
The Tolly Group's 2002 VoIP User Requirements Study focuses on what enterprise architects charged with evaluating and deploying voice over IP technology in their corporate networks.
Users, network integrators and resellers are invited to attend The Tolly Group's 2002 VoIP User Requirements Study Webcast, scheduled for April 17th at noon ET. Tolly Group officials will summarize the survey results and deliver a snapshot of the core technology choices users are making as they embrace VoIP.
Tolly Group president/CEO Kevin Tolly will highlight the survey's chief findings and discuss their implications for vendors of VoIP equipment. A panel of vendor experts will also be on hand to field questions and help explain how they can respond to user requirements as defined by the survey.
"If you're a potential VoIP user, this free Webcast is an opportunity to learn how other shops are approaching VoIP and what they deem are the chief issues to conquer," said Charles Bruno, The Tolly Group's Executive Editor who will co-host the Webcast with Kevin Tolly. "And if you are an integrator, a reseller or a vendor of VoIP gear, you won't want to miss the profile we paint on user technology requirements for VoIP."
Unlike surveys that collect market size and other demographic data, The Tolly Group's 2002 VoIP User Requirements Study examines the technical ramifications that users are wrestling with to deploy VoIP successfully. Survey questions attempt to unearth data about the depth of VoIP knowledge at user sites, the chief technical issues they believe will influence deployment and the choices they are making that will influence voice quality delivered over the enterprise networks.
